A Turtle-riffic Birthday

I Just love this turtle stamp by Inky Antics! Isn't it the cutest? I took a break from my prismas, and used my SU ink pads, and my aqua painter to color this cutie. I have wanted to use this ribbon by American Crafts every since I bought it but I never had the right colors. So this time I worked my card around the ribbon. I have so much ribbon that I have never used. So, so sad. I used one of my new CB folders, and my nifty SU scallop punch. I LOVE my punch and have had no problems with it at all. I used a single orange dew drop to accent the center of the little flower. I love the simplicity of this card. I hope you all are staying dry today. It has been raining all morning. We needed the rain so I'm not going to complain. I hope all of you have a nice day!

Blueberry Sweetness

Does this doll bring back memories? Some of you may not know this but I have a bedroom dedicated to my vintage Strawberry Shortcake collection. Sadly I have not given it the proper attention for the past year or two and I am in the process of selling my collection. Anyways, Blueberry Muffin was my favorite character and I decided to make a few Blueberry cards yesterday. The stamp I used was a set of different SSC characters that I bought from Stamp Affair before they went out of business. I'm happy I was able to get the entire set! For this card I used my prismas, my newest CB folder, and papers from Bazzil, and Chatterbox. The sentiment is from the Cupcake set by Inkadinkdo. On a different note the weather is absolutely beautiful today (Low 60's). I have the windows open. I love this time of year! I hope all of you have a wonderful day!

I received several adorable images in a RAK from my sweet friend Kelly recently and this was one of the images included in my package. I believe this image is from High Hopes. I am in LOVE with these stamps! They are so very cute, and a lot of fun to color. For this card I used my prismas and OMS. The ribbon is from American Crafts, and the CS is Really Rust, and More Mustard from SU. The teal CS is from a stack I bought by DCWV. I used my new Cuttlebug embossing folder "houndstooth". I had a wonderful weekend with my hubby and baby boy, and hope all of you had a great weekend two! I am especially excited about this coming weekend because it is Labor Day and Joe has a 3 day weekend! Yippie! Have a wonderful Monday!

In a Coloring Mood

I remember as a little girl getting ready for the new school year. My book bag, and supplies were all ready to go. But, before I packed everything into my bag I would open my crayons and just run my finger over the top of them. There was something so wonderfully simple about a brand new box of crayons. I can't wait till Cameron gets his first box of crayons. Today I just felt like coloring. So I got out my Sarah Kay stamps and chose this one, my favorite. I used my prisma's and OMS to color this cutie. The card stock is Bazzil, and the cute gingham paper is from DCWV. I love the way purple and yellow look together! I hope all of you have a safe, and happy weekend. Thank you for visiting my blog!

Friends are the best!

I had forgotten how much I love the "Garden Whimsey" stamp set. I have found myself gravitating towards solid images lately. I love that you can just stamp them, and go. I plan on ordering a few of the "Silhouette" stamp sets out of the new catty in September. For this card I used three of the new in-colors, Red Ridinghood Red, Kiwi Kiss, and Baja Breeze. I know a lot of people think the colors are way too close to what we already have, but I totally disagree. None of the SU ribbon I have comes close to matching any of the new colors. LOL. I really need to get some new ribbon! Tonight I am meeting a dear friend for dinner and I am totally excited. DH and Cam are going to spend the evening together. I think they will have fun. *crossing fingers* Thank you for visiting my blog today!

So Priceless

I don't know about you guys, but when I make a card I usually pick out the stamp set I want to use first. Then I choose colors, and then everything else seems to fall into place. I don't know how many times I have sat at my table without a clue as to what I wanted to do. Thankfully this week my creative mojo has been running wild. Yesterday I made 6 Christmas cards for my new Online Store. Christmas cards and Baby cards are my two favorite kinds of cards to make. For this card I used the SU set "Priceless", and the new in-colors Red Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, and Pink Pirouette. I used the SU scallop punch, and my mat pack to add the extra touches. This card has a lot going on, but I think it turned out to be a fun, colorful card. Thank you for visiting my blog today!

A Wonderful Weekend!

Boy, the weekends go by so fast don't they? We had a lovely weekend here. Went to a flea market on Saturday and met one of my sweetest friends there. It was wonderful seeing you Rebecha! Saturday evening Joe made a yummy dinner of tacos, and quesadillas. My husband loves to cook so he is usually in charge of dinner on the weekends. I am a lucky woman! Sunday was very relaxing. I stayed home with Cam while Joe went out to get a hair cut. When he got back he watched Cam for awhile so that I could go out for some "mommy" time. I went to Bath and Body works and picked up lots of hand soap. Just let me say we should be set on soap for the rest of the year. Sunday evening we went to Fridays for dinner and Cam was so well behaved! He has really started to babble and mimic us. It is so neat watching him grow. Now, onto business. =0)

I used one of my new favorite SU color combo, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, and Whisper White. I think they look beautiful together. The stamp set is one I bought recently by Inkadinka do. I just love their clear stamp sets! I also used my new CB folder "floral screen". You can't tell from the picture but the little butterflies are raised. My sweet hubby was looking at my card (he looks at all my cards) and he thought I should add white tips to the butterfly wings so I did, using my white pen. I love the way this card turned out. Thank you for visiting my blog today!!

I Love Fridays!

This was a very simple, fun card I made this week using stamps from Joann's. The sentiment really cracks me up! I used SU's new In-Colors, and my CB Paisley embossing folder. The ribbon, and buttons are from Joann's as well. I am so happy it is Friday. We don't have any exciting plans this weekend. Joe is going to work in the back yard around our deck and get it looking nice and pretty. I am on the hunt for the perfect rug for the area in front of our back double glass doors so I may run to a few places to see if I can find anything. I received a package from Joann's today with three of the newest CB folders and I can't wait to try them out so I will be playing with those this weekend also. Oh my gosh, I also have to tell you that I saw the new Stampin Up Fall Winter Mini today and I am in BIG TROUBLE! The stamps, paper, and accessories are amazing!! Be on the lookout for the great deals I will be posting soon. Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

Wild About Babies

I made this for one of my dearest friends of all time LeAnne who lives in Utah and recently welcomed Baby Alex into the world. She will be going back to work soon and I thought a mini accordion album would be something she could keep at her desk to show off pictures of her little munchkin. I really had fun making this! I used the SU "Wild about You" stamp set, and papers from Chatterbox. The rub-ons and chip board were something I picked up at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in June. The weather here is still amazing so I am sitting here with the window open feeling the cool breeze as I type. Love it! I hope all of you are having a great week so far! Thank you so much for visiting my blog.

Took A Little Break

Wow, it has been over a week since my last post! I took a little break from blogging this week to work on home projects that I have neglected since Cam was born, mainly de-cluttering this house! I can't believe how much stuff we have, and how quickly it seems to accumulate. I have been working on cards and other projects this week, so I didn't take a break from that. =0) For this card I used SU's new In-Colors. I love this color combo and I am so excited to have new colors to work with. I hope all of you had a wonderful week, and that you have a fantastic weekend! The weather here is going to be beautiful this weekend so we will be out enjoying it for sure!
