Cool Target Find!

I went to Target today and in the dollar section I found some of the cutest DP! They have their Fall themed papers, ribbons, and embellishments out. You should stop by and check it out! For this card I used the "Season of Friendship" set again. The DP I used is what I bought at Target today. Isn't it cute? The card stock, ink and ribbon are all SU. I think I am definitely going to get my moneys worth out of this set!

Starting tomorrow (Oct.1st) Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 20th year by giving an extra 20% off of almost all of the Birthday sets in the catalog! All you have to do is order $20 in regular merchandise and you get to buy as many of the birthday sets at 20% off as you want! I am so excited because I love the cupcake sets! Have a wonderful Day!

My New SU Stamps!

I have waited for so long to order some new sets out of the new Stampin Up catalog and yesterday they finally arrived! I can't wait to make more cards using my new sets. This card was made using the stamp set "Season of Friendship" out of the new Holiday Winter Mini. Customers will be able to order out of it starting October 1st. I was not crazy about this set at first but I thought I would give it a try, and at worst I would trade it for a different set. Well, this set isn't going ANYwhere. I love, love, love it! It is so simple to use and can be used any time of the year. I totally recommend it to anyone who wants a set that can be used for any season. It comes with a snowflake, leaves, flowers, and a cute little bird. Thank you for visiting my blog today, and I want to give a special thank to my faithful readers who always brighten my day with the sweet comments you leave for me. Have a wonderful weekend!

Altering Journals is Fun!

I made these journals for two little ladies that are going to be taking piano lessons from me. The journals will be used to write down their home-work, my comments, and of course a place for great job stickers!! I thought the girls would love having something alot more personal then a plain old notebook. I used composition notebooks and papers from DCWV, and a paper pack I got from Costco. I love how these journals turned out!! I even made them to match each girls favorite color. I would love to make more of these but I can't think of any reasons to at the moment. haha. Early Christmas presents? I hope everyone is having a good week. Tomorrow Cameron has his 9 month check up, and I have a Dr Appt for an annoying ingrown toe nail that has been bugging me for a year. Nothing like being a procrastinator, right? Take care all!!

Friends Are Like Angels...

I found out this weekend that the mother of one of my old Bf's has breast cancer. I was very close to his parents even after we broke up and I am just so sad for her, and her family. I decided to make her a card to let her know I am thinking about her and that she will be in my prayers. For this card I used the SU set "If the Halo Fits", and DP from the hostess paper collection in the last catalog. The color's I used are Pretty in Pink, and Apricot Appeal. I think this card turned out lovely and I hope that it brightens up her day.

My Big Boy and a Card!

Oh my goodness can you believe how big Cam has gotten! He hit his 9 month mark a week ago today. It really is scary how fast time goes. This pic was taken yesterday when his very good friends Ava, and Dylan came over to play. I'm not sure Cam was very happy that someone else was sitting in his bouncy chair. lol. He had a great time but he sure was tired yesterday evening.

I made this card today from a card I love in the new Fall/Winter Catalog. I love the simplicity and elegance of this card and plan to use this layout on more cards. The felt snow flakes, and ribbon are from one of my favorite stores "Big Lots". I am totally going there tomorrow to pick up more Holiday ribbon. Not only is it cute, but it was only $1 for 9 feet! The weekend is supposed to be really nice so I think tomorrow we will go to the flea market and see if we can find any treasures.I hope all of you have a safe, happy, weekend.

Three Days in a Row!

Boy oh boy am I on a roll or what!? We have had such beautiful weather this week and I am one of those people that NEED sunshine. I don't need heat, but I need the sun to be shining. So I think that is why I have been playing in my card room more this week. I love fall! For this card I used my SU set "Garden Whimsey". I love this set because of the solid images. I don't have to "color" anything, just stamp and go! I used the new colors Pacific Blue, and Kiwi Kiss. I think they look so crisp and fresh together. I layered scallops using my SU scallop punch, and then I used my Mat Pack for all of the paper piercing. If you don't have a Mat Pack I totally recommend buying one. I use it ALL of the time! I hope all of you ar having a wonderful week. Just one more day till Friday!!

Super Cuteness

Aren't the Magnolia's stamps cute!? This is another image I received from my sweet friend Kelly. I used my prisma's to color her. The layout is quite simple, but I think it works because the main image should be the show-case and too much in the background would distract from the main image. I guess that is why I use this layout a lot. =0) We are having another cool, crisp fallish day here in Virginia. I have errands to run later and for once I am looking forward to going! Have a GREAT day!!

A Simple Thank You

I just can't believe how fast September has been going by! Cam took a nice long nap today so I had a little bit of time to play in my card room. I made this card using the "True Friends" set from Stampin Up. The flower was a labor of love because I stamped the same image three times with three different colors of ink. Then I cut them out with my cutterbee scissors. The main background was created using my SU Paisley background stamp. The scallops were made using my SU scallop punch. I didn't think I would like it more then my Fiskars Threading Water punch but I do! I love the smaller scallops. I hope everyone is having a nice week so far. The weather has been nice and cool which is a great change from the hot weekend we had! See ya later!

Spiders and Frogs

These sound like the first two ingredients of a magic spell don't they? Well, last night a spider decided to take up residence in the corner of our back sliding doors. It gives me the heebie jeebies, but on the other hand I can't help but to appreciate the beauty of the web the spider made. I took this picture today and I am thrilled that my camera captured it so well!

Now for the "frog" part of this post! I made this card today for my sweet friend Tonya to give to her brother. The image is from "High Hopes" stamps and it was a PIF from my friend Kelly. Isn't it the cutest? I seem to use this layout often but I can't help it, it is one of my favorites! Again I am sorry for neglecting my blog, but I promise to be better . I hope all of you have a happy, and safe weekend!

I am such a slacker!!

First let me start by apologizing for not posting for the past 6 days. Life has been busy, and I have not had time to work on anything but the favors and prizes for the baby shower we are throwing a friend here on Friday! I promise to post something this evening. In the mean time I will post something for your viewing enjoyment. This was the video I made for my Son Cameron's first 6 months. I'm going to have to make another one soon of his first 9 months! Make sure you have the sound turned up so you can here some of the special audio I included. Thank you everyone for reading my blog, and again I am so sorry that I have neglected it. Hugs to all!

Stinkin Cute Birthday!

I am sad that SU retired this set "Stinkin Cute", but I still love it anyways. I used a super cute color combo for this card, Kiwi Kiss, Choco Chip, and Pink Pirouette. The floral background was made using the "Little Pieces" set, and the Birthday sentiment was from the last Sell-A-Bration "So Many Scallops". I also used one of my new Cuttlebug folders! I am so happy with the way this card turned out. It's nice when things fall right into place! Thank you for visiting my blog today!!

An Altered Kind of Day

I have seen lots of cute altered projects that many of my friends have done so today I decided to do one to! The box I used was a little box I bought at Michael's that has sat on my shelf for over 2 years, maybe even three! I covered the box with DP from Stampin' Up called "Summer Picnic". I made a set of 4 cards using the same DP, and SU Real Red, and Bashful Blue card stock. I used my white gel pen for the stitching, and the ribbon is SU Real Red 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. For the first time in a long time everything I used (aside from the box) is from Stampin' Up! I think these would make great gifts so I plan on making more.
If you are wondering how I can get any card making done I will have to take a picture of my card room so that you can see Cam's play area. He loves playing while Mommy works on cards. I have such a good little boy. I hope you all have a great day!!

Couple's Baby Shower

I was asked to make the invitations for a couple's baby shower that we are throwing for one of my friends here. Since it was a "couple's" shower we didn't want to scare the men away by having lots of cutsie baby embellishments on the invitation so this is what I came up with. The men are going to play Texas Hold-em, and the women are going to play a shower game or two and chat. It should be a really fun evening. I am going to make shower favors also. As soon as I come up with something I will post pics of them! I hope that everyone had a nice relaxing labor day weekend. Joe had a three day weekend so we were busy enjoying it. I am sad that he had to go back to work today, but the next weekend starts in 3 days!! haha. Have a great day everyone!!
