Spread Your Wings and Fly

Hello and welcome to my blog. I hope you are having a nice Holiday weekend. We have a fun family cook out planned for tonight, I can't wait! Today I am playing along with the latest Color Challenge at Paper Crafts Magazine.

At first I was not sure about the colors, but after putting the colors together I have to say I love the combination! My card features one of my current favorite stamp sets from The Craft's Meow called "Butterfly Kisses", and the sentiment from the set "Fly Free". I used my retired SU Paisley background stamp to create the pretty black and white pattern. The Tangerine Tango polka dot DSP is also from SU. This is also my first card using my new EK Success border punch "Abstract Flower". Isn't it beautiful? I know I am going to be using it....a lot! I added some vintage black lace, and Bubblegum satin ribbon from A Muse Studio. I tied a bow using the same black lace, that I accented with a pretty button tied with Sugar Twine from A Muse Studio.  I love love how this card turned out! If you have not been to The Craft's Meow store front I highly recommend it. The stamps are made of clear photo-polymer and stamp SO well. Just look at the beautifully stamped solid image. You can't get that crisp of a stamped impression with inferior quality clear stamps.  Thank you for visiting my blog today and have a fun and safe Holiday weekend! Today I am also playing along with the following challenges:

{Orange You Cute}

   Yep, another fruit card and I'm sorry but I can't resist making them! I created this card using the super cute set from Technique Tuesday called Fruit Salad. I stamped the oranges in SU Only Orange classic ink. To add some bling I added orange rhinestones to the centers. I used a strip of polka dot ribbon to add a little extra orange goodness. I finished off the card with a line of machine stitching and the sentiment. I ordered several of PTI's new fruit sets and hopefully I'll be receiving them any day now. So, you will be seeing lots of fruit-tastic cards in the weeks to come.

    Today I also want to share with you the happy mail I received from Paper Crafts Magazine for being one of the winners for the Color Inspiration Challenge #4 .

{When Life Brings You Lemons}

    Hello! Yesterday I received my package from Addicted to Rubberstamps and in it was a stamp set from Technique Tuesday called Fruit Salad. This set is SO cute and SO big! The stamp set is on an 8x11 sheet, fun! I stamped my lemon in SU's Summer Sun ink and then used heat and stick powder and more
A Muse Studio Glitter. The yellow polka dot paper is also from A Muse Studio. I added the bakers twine (from The Twinery) scalloped stitching using the We Are Memory Keepers Sew Easy tool. I wish I used it more often! Isn't it cute!? I finished off this CAS card with machine stitching, and then I placed the layer on a kraft card stock base.  Today I am playing along with a few challenges:

{Rainbow-tastic}

        I.love.rainbows. and creating them using rubber stamps is SO much fun! I wanted to create a rainbow inspired card but just couldn't think of how I was going to make it work for a CAS card. As you can see I did come up with an idea and I am very happy with the end result! Everything I used to create this card is from A Muse Studio. I used 6 different colors of A|S pigment ink that I sponged onto my polka dots rubber stamp using make up sponges. Next I used our beautiful swallow die and made a window. I glittered up a patch of ocean card stock with our beautiful glitter and placed the top layer on top. I stamped the sentiment and machine stitched around the edges of my card. Finally I added a few sprinkles of rhinestone bling. Whaddaya think? Well, I hope you like it, and if you would like to learn more about A Muse Studio I'd love to hear from you!  Today I am playing along with a few challenges:

{Thinking of You}

 Hello and welcome to my blog! Today was a dreary, over cast day which may explain why no-one stopped by to check out my scrapbook/stamp yard sale. Or my suspicions of me being the only card maker in my area just might be true! I really miss my craftin' friends on the East coast! Ok, lets talk about my card...  I used the SU set "Garden Greetings", and "Curly Cute" to create this card. The inks are from A Muse Studio, Sky, Ocean, Slate and Lichen. After I stamped the largest and darkest blue flowers (ocean) I sprinkled clear embossing powder on them and then heat embossed. I love the way it makes the blue stand out. Beautiful! I stamped the sentiment on twill ribbon using Slate ink.  I added a coffee filer carnation (so love saying that) that I accented with Sky ink. I finished off the card with machine stitching. I created my card using the following color inspiration challenge:

{Life is Beautiful}

Good evening! I don't usually post this late but the day just got away from me. The card I created as a lot going on but it was fun to make! All of the paper I used to create my card was from my scraps pile and that makes me happy! I ran the old olive dsp thru my paper crimper and layered it with the daffodil delight dsp. I added the fun striped ribbon from Making Memories to help tie in all of the colors on my card. I created my flower using a 1inch circle punch. I added a button tied with twine from The Twinery. I can't seem to stop using my butterfly die from A Muse Studio but its just so cute and this card needed  a butterfly! I finished off my card with a rub-on from American Crafts and a felt leaf from my beloved SU Sweet Pea collection. I hope you like my card! Today I am playing along with a few challenges.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

{Butterfly Birthday}

    Good afternoon! I hope this week is treating you well. This week I have been working on a few home projects (cleaning clutter) and have not had much time for card making. But today I was lucky enough to steal away a minute or two and create this fun, and super easy card! Everything I used to create this card is from A Muse Studio and can be purchased from me using my webstore! To create this card I used the largest  butterfly die and ran it through my die cutting machine 3 times. I placed my gingham card stock on top of shell pink card stock. I machine stitched around the edges. Next  I  used my medium butterfly die and cut out three butterflies using bubblegum polka dot card stock. I put the finished layer on top of my white card base and finished it off with a birthday sentiment from "Contemporary Greetings".  Easy right!?

Supply List:
Butterfly Trio TAD0002
Bubblegum Gingham cardstock PAGH203

{Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #111}

     Good Morning friends and welcome to another fun week at Cupcake Inspirations! This week our beautiful Cupcake Inspiration photo is one of my favorites so far:

This week we are being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and we were lucky enough to be able to play with a handful of the sweetest images. My card features the "birdie's nest"image.

      I colored my lil' birdie with Copic, Bic and Promarkers. The patterned paper is from the Martha Stewart Baby Boy stack. The fun ribbon is by Cosmo Cricket. I added a button from Cosmo Cricket tied with Sugar twine from A Muse Studio. The sentiment is also from A Muse Studio and is from the "Contemporary Greetings" set. I love this set and keep grabbing for it again and again. I finished off the card with little flower gems I snagged at Big Lots, and on my Husbands advice, I added stamped music notes from A Muse Studio. I love showing my Hubs my cards, and he always says "it looks great, but what if you added..." I think it is so cute that he offers suggestions.
     We at Cupcake Inspirations would love for you to play along with us this week! Thank you for visiting my blog and have a wonderful Sunday.

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today has been a great day, the weather is just beautiful! I hope it is nice wherever you are as well. Today I was thrilled to find one of the Mother's Day gifts I bought for  myself in the mailbox, stamps from The Craft's Meow! The set I used to create my card was created for TCM by the unbelieveably talented Nina Brackett and it is called "Butterfly Kisses" The little girl with wings sillouette is so so cute! Ok, enough gushing but seriously, I love my new stamps! I stamped the main image, and sentiment in French Roast by A Muse Studio. All of the patterned paper I used is from the brand new release from DCWV called "Lemon Flower". I am in love with this collection. Check it out, you'll love it to! I used some vintage lace I bought at an estate sale last year, and my Martha Stewart lace punch. I also used my beautiful butterfly dies by A Muse Studio accented with Provo Craft beads. I finished off the card with a lace bow accented with acyrlic flowers (plastic) from the Flutter collection by Making Memories.  I love love how my card turned out! {A Simple Smile}

   Hello and welcome to my blog! This week I have been working on card submissions for the next Paper Crafts Magazine call so I haven't had anything I could post on  my blog until today. I created this card for an A Muse Studio Challenge for consultants. The winner chosen at random gets to pick out any stamp set out of the catalog. Awesome! As if there weren't already plenty of reasons to join the A Muse Studio team now there is one more reason. The starter kit is only $99 so please contact me if you have any questions about becoming a consultant. I would LOVE for you to be on my team!
    To create this simple card I used Nestabilities ovals in two sizes. The larger size for the window on the yellow gingham card stock, and the smaller oval on a piece of french roast cs to create the inner mat. I LOVE the way it turned out! I used copic markers to color the flowers and finished off the card with french roast stitched ribbon, and a sentiment from the sampler stamp sets that came with my starter set!

{Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #110}

     Hello and welcome to my blog! Happy Mother's Day to everyone as well. My Husband bought me a beautiful card, and told me to treat myself to some stamps so I am a happy girl! Now I just have to decide what I want to get. lol
      Today at Cupcake Inspirations we are being sponsored by Glitterbabe's Digital stamps and I used one of their beautiful floral stamps called "dahlia". I love dahlia's, especially the red ones which just so happens to be the color of my dahlia's. I created a set of cards that I plan on gifting to someone today! The cards are 4" x 4". I used Copics, Bic, and ProMarkers to color my pretty flowers. Next I added a yellow glitter brad to the centers of each flower. I machine stitched around the edges, and then distressed the edges before I adhered it to my kraft cardstock base. The sentiments are from the A Muse Studio set "Friend to Friend". I would love for you to play along with us this week! I hope everyone has a nice, relaxing Sunday, and thank you for visiting my blog today!

{Welcome Little One}

 Hello and welcome to my blog! I need to send out a few baby cards and noticed I only had baby boy cards in my stash so I thought I better add some baby girl cards since I have some I need to send out! For this card I used one of my all time favorite SU wheels "Wash Day". Isn't it adorable!? I paper pieced some of the clothes with patterned paper from Echo Parks "Springtime" collection. The rest I colored with Copic markers. I used chalk and a make-up wedge to create the sky. The sentiment, and clouds are from A Muse Studio. I added two SU ribbon scallop punch border strips, and finished off the card with lots of pink bakers twine from "The Twinery". This card makes me smile. Today I thought I would post a picture of my newest munchkin, Connor who is now 4 1/2 months old. My oh my how time has flown by. He is a joy, and his big brother Cam loves his little bro.

{True Love Stories}

Good Morning Friends! Today is a bright sunny day and for that I am thankful.  Today I created a card featuring the A Muse Studio stamp set "Together Forever". Believe it or not this is the first wedding themed stamp set I have ever bought. I love the sentiment, and simple wedding cake. This set would be great for invitations, thank you cards, showers, goodness just about anything involving cake! And to make it even sweeter this set is only $7.99. Love that.  Anywho, to create this card I used A|S Shell pink cardstock that I embossed with three different Cuttlebug folders. I attached them to my card and machine stitched along the seams. For the cake I stamped the image once on white cs, and once on pink patterned paper from the Echo Park Springtime collection. I fussy cut the image and attached it to my white cs. I finished off this  CAS card with ribbon by Making Memories. Easy Peasy!  Today I am playing along with a few challenges:
